Thomas Joseph Cannon

Thomas Joseph Cannon was a judicial candidate for Kentucky Circuit Court 30 in 2010.[1]

Cannon has been a private practice lawyer of the Thomas J. Cannon Law Offices. He has also worked as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney and is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. He received his bachelor's degree in Economices from the University of Louisville and his law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Cannon was defeated by incumbent Olu A. Stevens with 60.55% of the vote on November 2, 2010.[1]

In a statement to the Courier-Journal, Cannon said, "I am not accepting any financial contributions for my election, because I believe this is the best way to be a fair and impartial judge." He also touted his experience, claiming, "With my years of litigation experience, I understand both sides of the issues."[2]
