Thomas Keith is a resident judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He serves in Lacon, Illinois.[1] He was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of judge Stuart P. Borden in March 2013. He was elected to a full term on the court in 2014 after running unopposed.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 18, 2014, receiving 38.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert H. Rennick, Jr. and Bruce P. Fehrenbacher.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.

The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Thomas Keith as Recommended for election in a 2014 poll.[5]
Education
Keith received his associate degree from the Carl Sandburg College, his bachelor's degree in rhetoric and English literature from the University of Illinois, and his J.D. from Valparaiso University's School of Law.[1]
Career
Keith did not enter law school until he was in his forties. Prior to beginning his legal career, he worked as an electrician and as a farmer. From 1994 until his appointment to the court in 2013, Keith served as an assistant U.S. attorney.[1]
