A former prosecutor, Judge Advocate General (JAG), Iraq Veteran and celebrated defense attorney.

Thomas Kenniff has dedicated his career to public service and the criminal justice system. As a young assistant district attorney, Thomas successfully prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases. As an Army officer serving in Iraq, he confronted the military’s then existing homosexual conduct policy while defending accused soldiers. Following his tour in Iraq, Thomas co-founded the law firm of Raiser & Kenniff, P.C. and established himself as one of New York’s preeminent criminal defense attorneys.

Thomas continues to serve as a Major in the Army National Guard with the storied Harlem Hell Fighters. Last year he was recalled to active duty for Operation COVID 19, and is now serving as legal officer at the Javits Center vaccine site. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Army Commendation Medal and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.

  • NYC, once the safest big city in America, is facing a humanitarian crisis. Violence and crime are devastating our communities. We have to restore law and order.
  • Bail reform and other far left policies have drastically increased crime throughout Manhattan. Despite the resulting daily tragedies, my opponent - Alvin Bragg - wants to double down on them. We can’t allow him to drive our city further into crisis.
  • Together we can build a justice system that not only holds people accountable, but improves lives.
As District Attorney, my priority is your safety. That starts with rebuilding trust between police and underserved communities. Making common sense reforms, like fixing the disastrous Bail Reform. And finding ways to rehabilitate, not just incarcerate.
