On April 10, 2014, Thomas L. Halkowski was nominated by President Barack Obama to serve a 15-year term on the United States Court of Federal Claims. President Obama on the nominations:

Halkowski submitted his questionnaire to the Senate Judiciary Committee on April 11, 2014.[4] The Committee held a hearing for Halkowski on June 4, 2014, and reported him to the full Senate on June 19, 2014, on a voice vote.[5]

Halkowski's nomination was returned on December 31, 2014. He was renominated by President Barack Obama on January 7, 2014.[6] The Senate Judiciary Committee reported Halkowski to the full Senate on February 26, 2015. On January 3, 2017, Halkowski's nomination was returned to President Obama at the sine die adjournment of the 114th Congress.[2]

Education

Halkowski earned his B.S. from Marquette University, graduating cum laude in 1985, and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating cum laude in 1989. He also holds an M.S. from the University of Florida, which he earned in 1986.[1]
