Thomas M. Deister
Thomas M. Deister is a former judge for the Twenty-First Judicial District Court of Colorado. He was appointed in October of 2005.[1] Deister retired on January 1, 2017.[2]
Education
Deister received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law and was admitted to practice in 1974.[1]
Career
Deister began his career in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corp. He then worked as a private practice lawyer in Grand Junction for nine years and served in the district attorney's office. He was later appointed to the Mesa County Court in October of 1994 and served in that capacity until his 2005 district court appointment.[1]
Elections
2014
Deister was retained to the Twenty-First Judicial District with 64.0 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
