Thomas J. MacBride (1914-2000) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.

MacBride was nominated to the Northern District of California by President John F. Kennedy on September 14, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 21, 1961, and received his commission on September 22nd. He served the Northern District of California until he was assigned to the Eastern District of California on September 18, 1966. From 1967-1979, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on March 25, 1979. He served the Eastern District of California until his death on January 6, 2000. MacBride was succeeded in this position by Lawrence Karlton.
