Bridgeton, New Jersey: Thomas North has been named the presiding judge for the municipal courts of the counties of Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem. The Woodbury attorney was appointed to this position by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner of the New Jersey Supreme Court. North's new job entails the oversight of municipal court judges and the implementing of administrative rules and procedures defined by both the Supreme Court and by Assignment Judge Georgia Curio.

North has been a private practice lawyer since 1997. He also worked as a municipal court judge for over 12 years, serving in the City of Woodbury, as well as the townships of Woolwich, Pitman, Logan, Elk, Westville and Harrison. Judge Curio stated that North "brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position." North said, "I look forward to working for the vicinage as presiding judge and I am honored by this appointment."[1]
