Education
Osowik received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Toledo in 1977 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981.[2]
Career
Osowik began his legal career as a private practice lawyer in Northwood, Ohio. He worked in this capacity for over eight years. During this time, he also served as an assistant attorney general for the state of Ohio. In January 1991, Osowik was appointed to the Toledo Municipal Court by former Democratic Governor Dick Celeste. He was then elected to this position, which he held until 2004. That year Osowik was elected to the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. He held this position until he was elected to the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.[2]
