Thomas P. Aliotta
Thomas P. Aliotta is a justice of the Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District in Kings County, New York. He was first elected in 2002 and was re-elected in 2015.[1][2]
Education
Aliotta attended the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1974 for his B.A. and Brooklyn Law School in 1977 for his J.D.[2]
Career
Aliotta began his career in 1978 as an associate of the Law Office of Jonathan D. Golby. He then worked as an assistant Richmond County district attorney from 1980 to 1985. He also served as an assistant D.A. for the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor in 1981 and 1982. He then ran his own general law practice, the Law Office of Thomas P. Aliotta, from 1985 to 1990.
Aliotta was elected to the New York City Civil Court of Richmond County in 1991. He served on that court through 2001. He also worked as the supervising judge of the Civil Court from 1997 to 2001 and was an acting supreme court justice from 1999 to 2001.[2]
