Thomas R. French is a judge on the Eighth Judicial District in Colorado. He was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter, effective January 1, 2011, and was retained by voters in 2014.[1]  His six-year term was set to expire on January 11, 2021.[2]

French was retained to the Eighth Judicial District with 72.1 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]

Education

French received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in 1971 and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1977.[1]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment in 2011, French worked as an attorney in private practice.[1]
