Thomas R. Herman was a judge on the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas in Batavia, Ohio. He was elected to the court in November 2010 to a full six-year term, which commenced on January 1, 2011, and expired on December 31, 2016.[1]

Education

Herman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1972 and his J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1977.[2]

Career

Before joining the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas, Herman served as a municipal court judge for the Clermont County Municipal Court from 1992 until 2010. He has also served as an assistant public defender for five years and as an assistant prosecutor for Clermont County for six years.[2]

2010 election

Herman defeated Daniel J. Breyer in the Republican primary, winning 54.03% of the vote. He was elected unopposed to the Clermont County Court of Common Pleas in the general election.[3]
