Thomas Riner
Thomas Riner (b. October 7, 1946) is a former Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 41 from 1983 to 2017.
Biography
Riner's professional experience includes working as a Pastor at Christ is King Baptist Church and Administrator at Christ is King School for Dyslexic Children.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Tom Riner ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4][5][6]
2012
Riner won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 41. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Henry Owens III (Descendants of American Slaves) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[7][8]
2010
Riner's opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate Nathan Haney. According to official results, Riner defeated Haney by a margin of 7,591 to 2,575.[9]

Riner defeated challenger Mike Slaton by a margin of 2,382 to 1,501 in the May 18 Democratic primary election.[10]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Riner was re-elected to the 41st District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition.[11] He raised $2,165 for his campaign.[12]

Riner is a member of the American Legion Highland Post 201, Executives Club of Louisville, Filson Club, Highlands Kiwanis Club, Jefferson Club, Kentucky Historical Society, and National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.[13]
