Thomas Roque was an at-large member of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Roque assumed office in 2016. Roque left office on January 8, 2024.

Biography

As of November 2017, Roque was the superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Alexandria. He had previously served as superintendent of the Rapides Parish school system. Prior to that, Roque worked at the Louisiana School for Math, Sciences, and the Arts.[1]

Political career

Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (2016-2024)

Roque was appointed to the board by Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) on January 11, 2016, as one of three members appointed to serve a term on the board concurrent with the governor's term in office.[2]
