Elections for the New York State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was July 10, 2014. Thomas Schiliro was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Anthony Palumbo was unopposed in the Republican primary. Schiliro ran on the Working Families Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets and Palumbo ran on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets. Palumbo defeated Schiliro in the general election.[2][3][4]
