Thoran Towler
Thoran Towler is the former Nevada Commissioner of Labor. He was appointed by Nevada Department of Business and Industry Director Terry Johnson and took office on November 7, 2011.[1] Towler resigned from office to become general counsel for the Nevada Association of Realtors in August 2014, and was succeeded by Shannon Chambers, effective December 29, 2014.[2][3]
Biography
Towler, an attorney, was a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Nevada Attorney General before becoming state labor commissioner.[4] Prior to that, he worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. He has also worked as a litigation associate in the Employment Law Group for Jones Vargas and as a law clerk for the Fourth Judicial District Court in Elko. Towler was appointed to the Nevada Commission on Ethics in 2020.[4][5]
