Three Justices request investigation of colleague in Michigan

Michigan: For what might be the first time in the state, three Supreme Court justices have asked the Judicial Tenure Commission to investigate whether their peer, Justice Elizabeth Weaver, has engaged in misconduct. Maura Corrigan, Stephen Markman, and Robert Young, Jr. suggest that Weaver has "improperly disclosed" deliberations of the justices.[1] If so, Weaver would be in violation of one of the Michigan Supreme Court's administrative rules, one that she has publicly disagreed with in the past. The confidentiality requirement was passed by the court in 2006, over Weaver's dissent, and reaffirmed yesterday.[2]
