June 26, 2012
Lincoln, Nebraska: The names of three individuals nominated to fill a vacancy in the Nebraska Court of Appeals were released on June 15 by the Nebraska Judicial Nominating Commission.[1][2][3][4]
The vacancy was created when Governor Heineman named Appeals Court Judge William Cassel to the Nebraska Supreme Court.[3]
James D. Smith and Francie Riedmann, both of Omaha, and Mark A. Johnson of Norfolk were the three names passed onto Governor Dave Heineman for his consideration in the process.[3] Heineman will be interviewing the three nominees in coming weeks.[1]
