Tiffany Longino was born in Brandon, Mississippi. Longino's professional experience includes working as a college professor. She earned a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree from Jackson State University in 2006 and 2011, respectively.[1]

At a young age, I realized that despite my challenges, things could be different. I did not allow setbacks or discouragement to slow me down or prevent me from succeeding. Like most Americans, I did not quit. My faith and my village kept me grounded, and I believe majority of Americans can relate to my story.
- I will keep working to make Mississippi a more egalitarian and progressive state with sound policy-making.
- I plan to maintain my advocacy for a comprehensive school system.
- To put it simply, I get people. I have the capacity to feel compassion and empathy for others. When it comes to the Republican Party and the beautiful state of Mississippi, I have the compassion to mend and create more harmony.
