Sanderson was appointed secretary of education by Gov. Kristi Noem (R) on November 25, 2020, to replace Ben Jones. Sanderson assumed office on December 9, 2020.[1] Sanderson left office on January 1, 2023 after she was hired as the president of Lake Area Technical College.[2]
Biography
Tiffany Sanderson earned a B.S. in agricultural education from South Dakota State University and an M.S. in administration and HR management from the University of South Dakota. Sanderson's career experience working as a senior policy advisor to Governor Kristi Noem, with Vivayic, with the South Dakota Department of Education, and with the National FFA Organization.[3]
