I'm a doctoral level Scientist, Economist and recent Juris Doctorate ... and thus a lawyer. I'm pursuing license to practice law to, then, become an attorney. Of all the titles I have earned and hats I've worn, "mom" is my absolute favorite title. i've been homeschooling my now 15-year son for the past 4 years, and I couldn't be more joyful about this experience.
  • That I am pragmatic and uphold a zero-tolerance policy for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
  • I am apt and competent to guide the implementation of Environmental Sustainability
  • I am apt and competent to liaise with our city departments to restore symbiotic relationships for effective and ethical governance.

It's important and beneficial that holders of this office have relevant experience as Scientist specializing in Soil and Water.
I am THE only Scientist with conferred doctoral expertise in Soil and Water Sciences, and who has served as a Lead Scientist/Principal Investigator in Soil and Water Research
Environmental sustainability is not just a hot trending topic, and rather is paramount to the stability of our ecosystems and civilization generally. Poor or mismanaged environmental systems result in environmental injustices and diminished citizens' health, which impacts us all economically

I'm THE only candidate who has consistently called out misappropriation of funds by government officials. I've even pointed out the many disconcerting entries that nod toward government official fraud in the city budget. My views, then, should be clear as to financial transparency and government accountability. Also, core to my consulting paradigm is teaching nonprofit organizations against misappropriation of funds.

Polar opposite of stereotypical, I am THE Ethical Politician. A proponent of transformative leadership, I was nicknamed "Queen Get 'Er Done" by Diasporan communities, to represent my efficacy in interceding on behalf of BIPOC. I am a Juris Doctor, and currently pursuing license to practice; a PhD ABD Scientist and Economist specializing in wetland bio/phytoremediation, swine husbandry, correcting negative externalities; a career educator in traditional and vocational arenas; an executive for 2 private corporations, PurSUEt of Happyness Corporation, Probetur Association LLC dba The Ethical Gatekeeper, a vocational legal education private membership based association; and run The Aboveground Railroad, a social relief organization. My interdisciplinary expertise & versatilely applicable skill set, no-nonsense and anti-corruption disposition and hyper positivity, objectivity, empathy and greater good resolve make me OUR BEST candidate for any public office!

  • I am an unwavering advocate for equity, inclusivity, objectivity and transformative learning.

  • My life's work is education at its core. I've been a teacher in the woods as a former Federal Park Ranger, a teacher in primary education and at the University level as a lab instructor for biology, chemistry, and physics, and a teacher on farms and in communities.

  • The primary function of the school board is to be the voice of the community and liaise its values and petitions. To liaise for a community, one must be adaptive, objective and empathetic and respectful toward diversity. I am a member of an intersectional group. As a lifelong community leader, having immersed myself in cultural diversity, and being culturally diverse and committed to high ethical rigor , I am THE best candidate to work directly with the community in this regard.
Equity, inclusivity, living wages for teachers and school staff, Environmental Sustainability, advancements in STEM, and increased valuation for the Arts

(1) Don't get beside yourself ... implying that I remain humble; not timid BUT HUMBLE.
(2) When bad things happen, CRY. GET IT ALL OUT. AND THEN GET IT TOGETHER AND GROW FORWARD!
(3) Be a good person. For the sake of good, not naysayers.

Trust me in that she taught me these lessons in a much more colloquial and comical manner that only my mom can do.
No. My father, even more so than my mother, instilled the core value of making declarative statements without hemming and hawing. He wanted me to appreciate my voice and be the writer of my own "story." I am exactly that. Accordingly, please follow me on all social media and subscribe, and from me directly you'll understand and hopefully appreciate my political philosophy.
Objectivity, Honesty, Equity and High Ethical and Legal Rigor.
My interdisciplinary academia and collaborative application/implementation are unrivaled. My ethical rigor is also arguably unrivaled. My commitment to equity and objectivity is unwavering.
Objectivity, Honesty, Equity and High Ethical and Legal Rigor.
Non-toxic positivity, objectivity and love.
1986 Space Shuttle Challenger explosion. I was 10. My desire to become a Scientist was further enlarged because of it.
Having assisted my mother in her business as a seamstress offering alterations and garment construction services to the greater Triad, I was prepared for management, without full realization of the same. With her recommendation, my first job was a manager at Will's Books and Stationer at the Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro, which I maintained for 2 years. I was 14. I, then, went on to manage Rave, Brookstone, and Paul Harris, all of which were also located in the mall.
As a lifelong learner, I don't have just one favorite. I love James Patterson books, like nearly all of them, which typically center on Science fiction. I love poetry and prose. Maya Angelous and Nikki Giovani. I love nonfiction by James Baldwin. I enjoyed reading the autobiography of Henry Frye. If I had a favorite book, it'd more likely be a textbook for Applied Science, Behavioral Psychology, or possibly Law, and most likely Constitutional Law.
Whereas I quite enjoy fiction, especially Science Fiction, considering the misinformation, disillusionment, and delusion regarding politics, I do not think that it is appropriate to ascribe fictional characteristics to the seriousness of the scope of work for politics, and impactful politics at that.
I recently heard Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love of All," and now it once again lives rent free in my head. I'm a classically trained vocalist, and having definitely covered my share of her songs, and that was one of them. It was nice to become "reacquainted" and now I've added it to my digital music apps.
Being a member of a considerably unique intersectional group, prejudice, undervaluation or conversely unrealistically exaggerated valuation. I also "struggle" with misperception as it relates to my academia in that most who achieve that which I have are stereotypically disconnected and condescending. It's more accurate to say that others struggle with realizing that I am authentically regular and extraordinary, and humble and even happy to boot.
To be the voice of the community and liaise the community's petitions, vet and enforce policy, and to improve student outcomes.
People. ALL PEOPLE. As a school board member specifically, my constituents are students, parents, guardians, teacher, administrative staff, and support staff.
Foremost, by continuing to take diversity seriously, and practicing empathy and willingness to listen and learn, and continuing to advocate for equity in education FOR ALL STUDENTS.
Thankfully, I have already built relationships with the community. To broaden my reach and impact, I'll healthily immerse myself in understanding more and engaging with the groups, organizations, and stakeholders
Data benchmarking CANNOT be the only measure of good teaching. Good teaching also translates into a student's participation and impact in community and school organizations. Good teaching translates into a student's relationships with other students, and general character. I will lend my expertise and experience as a transformative leader and educator to support advanced teaching approaches.
The curriculum is directed by the state, not the board and especially not by any singular board member. So, I would be limited to advocating for an expanded curriculum. I had the benefit of Weaver Educational Center, where I took Astronomy, other advance AP Applied Sciences, carpentry and other course not offered in my high school's core curriculum. I had the benefit of Home Economics and typing. Taking those courses has enlarged my life skills and outlook. I'd definitely advocate for advanced training and apprenticeships.
Again, as a board member, one would be generally limited to advocacy. I "do" assertive and happy very well, without reading too militant or uncompromising.
The core principle of fostering the holistic development and inspiring the full potential of children drives my advocacy for safety in schools.
I find it particularly interesting that too many teachers exclaim that they are not responsible for managing behavior, because core to an education degree program is behavioral psychology; in fact, so much so, that teachers, upon completion of a degree program, are qualified to become certified Behavioral Therapists. That said, there is always an inseparable component of mental health where learning is concerned and especially where children undergoing puberty and general personal development and interactions with other children and even adults is concerned. I'll continue to lend my objective disposition and commitment to regard of the WHOLE student/teachers/staff to support mental needs
From "Coming To America," at the end of the film about the waitress and the spoon. I love this joke because it emphasizes the importance of lightheartedness in redirecting one's attention to detail.
I would like to improve upon the district disciplinary policies and procedures in enforcing equity and objectivity.
An ideal learning environment for students is textbook, not merely mine own ideal. It MUST be physically, emotionally and psychologically safe. It MUST be predicated upon implementation of varied teaching methodology to accommodate as many learning styles as possible. It MUST be "fun" and engaging. Objectivity and equity MUST be highly regarded.
Poorly. Teachers, as teachers and advocates for education, should have relied upon deference to Scientists as experts and simply practiced social distancing, masking, and higher sanitization standards in the classroom. It was considerably hypocritical for teachers to take an antagonistic disposition against Scientists leading in research to help us manage the pandemic; after all, Scientists underwent EDUCATION, markedly advanced, to be able to later serve in such capacity. How can teachers inspire the importance of education to kids, while trivializing the advanced education of Scientists. It's especially odd. Teachers set the tone for the classroom. It's not a perfectly easy process, but too many teachers didn't follow the accurate Science, too many succumb to political extremes, and too many lost sight of their core functions. Understanding, of course, that they are people too and thus prone to emotional difficulties with such crises, our children, however, couldn't been expected to somehow exemplify best responses to a pandemic. That was the teacher's job. That was more specifically the principal's and superintendent's job. It was the school board's job. It was the school district's job.
Thankfully, I have already built relationships with the community. I'll advocate to include parents more respectfully and liaise for parents' views in an objective and empathetic manner.
Recruit transformative leadership style teachers, staff and administration. Because CMS is plagued with seemingly insurmountable issues, transformation is necessary.

McDaniel's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[7]

Legislative/Judicial/Political Bullying vs. Participatory Government and Transparency

  • Excerpt: "The term "greater good" has been overshadowed or even willfully ignored as merely idealistic and in its place we have the emergence of endless imagined communities and political interest groups that are only interested in their own agendas often times with no thought or concern for other communities that are notably adjacent in proximity and culture to them. No fear...I'm here! Objectivity, transparency, rationale analysis from both an economic and social welfare perspective and all else toward the greater good of North Carolina is indeed a "platform" I willing to stand on."

Political Bullying

  • Excerpt: "Bullying not only is rampant in our public and even private schools but a suffocating cloud hovering over city employees and some officials, judicial employees and most officials, and even paralegals, secretaries, assistants, and lawyers alike. Accountability should be the standard not a laughable politically correct statement fed to the general public to enhance public relations or a measure of damage control in the event of social injustice."
  • Excerpt: "Ethics must be a major implement of NC law and government. The antics of our state, municipal and county officials is deplorable and we have become the mockery of national precedence. Again I offer...no fear. Tigress is here! Historically and markedly so, I don't change my "political platform" with the change in endorsement winds, and I think it's safe to say that I am not exactly the easily discouraged and quickly defeated target for bullying- of any sort. All sarcasm aside, I believe that my life, academic and community experiences have afforded me an unmatched resolve, humility, aptness, fortitude that is sure to prove to be an immeasurably progressive asset to the City of Greensboro residents, North Carolina citizens, and even the United States of America in whole."
