Tijuana Hayes
Tijuana Hayes (Democratic Party) ran for election for an at-large seat of the Guilford County Schools school board in North Carolina. Hayes lost in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2018.
Hayes was a candidate for at-large representative on the Greensboro City Council in North Carolina. She was defeated in the primary election on October 10, 2017.
Biography
Hayes earned a master's degree in pastoral care and counseling.[1]
At the time of her 2017 run for city council, Hayes was retired from her position as a teacher for the Guilford County school system. Her experience includes service as the president of the Guilford County Association of Educators, the chair of the Community Resource Board, the vice chair of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Board of Directors, a member of the Guilford Education Alliance Board of Directors, and the organizer of the Pear Tree Neighborhood Association.[1]
