Tim Allard
Tim Allard was a 2014 Republican candidate for Chittenden-8-2 District of the Vermont House of Representatives.[1] According to a press release issued by Allard, he was recruited by Paul Dame to run as his running mate. He led a successful write-in campaign to earn a place on the general election ballot in November.[2][3]
Previously, he was a Republican candidate for Chittenden 6-2, Vermont House of Representatives. The primary election was on August 24, 2010. The state legislative general election was on November 2, 2010. Allard lost the election by 14 votes in 2010.[2]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Vermont House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Chittenden-8-2 has two state representatives. Incumbents Tim Jerman and Linda Waite-Simpson were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Paul Dame was unopposed in the Republican primary. Lillith Soleil ran unopposed in the Libertarian primary.[1][4][5][6] As a running mate, Dame recruited Tim Allard who earned 90 write-in votes to surpass the required 25 votes.[7]. Jerman and Dame defeated Waite-Simpson, Allard and Soleil in the general election.[3]

2010
Tim Allard ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Chittenden 6-2 in 2010. He ran against Carl Houghton in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He was opposed by Carl Houghton (R), Linda Waite-Simpson (D), and Tim Jerman (D) in the November 2, 2010 general election. According to unofficial results Allard was defeated, but as of November 15 a recount is pending.[8]
