His combination of business and project management experience, executive decision making, fiscal management, being a GCS parent for 12 years and appreciation for education and educators makes him uniquely suited for a seat on the school board.
  • Focus on the fundamentals of educating our children
  • Support teachers and staff
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility
Increasing student proficiency and preparing our graduates to compete in our modern economy. Guilford County is on the cusp of great economic development, and we need to prepare our students to take advantage of the opportunities that are here.
The school board is a collaborative group that provides oversight to the superintendent and the school system. An individual board member does not have authority outside of the entire board, so they must work to become a cohesive group. The board member does not run the school system, but provides vision and goals as representatives of the parents and public. The school board member also hires and evaluates the superintendent.
My constituents are the parents of the District 6 schools, the students, staff, and faculty of the schools and all of the taxpayers within the district and county.
