Tim Bildsoe
Tim Bildsoe was a member of the Plymouth City Council At-large.
Bildsoe ran for election to the Hennepin County Commission to represent District 2 in Minnesota. Bildsoe lost in the primary on August 14, 2018.
Bildsoe was a candidate for Ward 3 representative on the Minneapolis City Council in Minnesota. He was defeated in the general election on November 7, 2017. Although municipal elections in Minneapolis are officially nonpartisan, candidates can choose a party affiliation to appear on the ballot.[1] Bildsoe ran as a DFL candidate.[2]
Bildsoe was previously a member of the Plymouth City Council, representing Ward 1 from 1996 to 2000 and serving at-large from 2002 to 2014.[3]
Biography
Bildsoe earned a B.S. in business and economics from Bemidji State University.[4]
Bildsoe's professional experience includes work in commercial insurance for Wells Fargo Insurance and as a technology underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Group.[4] He has also served as the president of the North Loop Neighborhood Association and as a member of the 2020 Partners Steering Committee and Plymouth's Planning Commission, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, Transit Advisory Commission, Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, and Environmental Quality Commission.[5]

2017
Minneapolis, Minnesota, held a general election for mayor, all 13 seats on the city council, both elected members of the board of estimate and taxation, and all nine members of the park and recreation board on November 7, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was August 15, 2017.
Incumbents ran for re-election to all but two of the city council seats. Ward 3 Councilman Jacob Frey filed to run for mayor instead, and Ward 8 Councilwoman Elizabeth Glidden opted not to run for re-election.[6]
