Biography
Hickey was born in Malden, Massachusetts. His professional experience includes working as an adjunct college professor for Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. Hickey has also been a small business owner, the owner and operator of Red Kat Inc. Construction from 2003 to 2009, and the owner and operator of Tim Hickey's Dance Studio from 1998 to 2003. His organizational affiliations have included serving as vice-chair of the Kirkland Senior Council, acting as party chair for the King County Republican Party of the 48th Legislative District, and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Hickey has also been a member of the Community Safety Advisory Group for the City of Kirkland Fire Department and of the American Federation of Teachers.[1]
