Tim Lonergan was born in St. Joseph, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1980 to 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha in 1990. His career experience includes working as a business owner and president.[1]

I am a life long Omaha resident. I am a solo operator of Lonergan Lawns LLC, for last 20 years. I will bring a conservative business approach to the transit board. I believe the newly elected board has a duty to work with the current administration to have the best public transportation.
Metro provides public transportation at an affordable rate. Also, provides access to entertainment and employment.
On the transit board I believe we must protect our employees . The safety is number one.
I am a hardworking business owner and have the ability to discuss issues with an open mind.
The transit board is a check and balance to the administration. The board will have the authority to make recommendations to the CEO and a financial responsibility to have oversight in spending.
On the transit board I would like to leave it better before I got elected.
Groceries clerk one year, at Dundee Village food market. Then to US Coast Guard Bootcamp.
Any historical book, I like history.
I am a blessed person. I don’t have to many struggles.
No, you do need the ability to read and understand budgets, bidding process and labor negotiations.
I have work with 500 million dollar budgets and have worked with other elected board members in the past.
I like any good joke. Not enough space to write all the jokes I like.
