Biography
Tim Maciel is originally from San Jose, California and lives in Brattleboro, Vermont. Maciel graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory. Maciel earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Education from Gonzaga University. He holds a master's degree in International Education in 1991 and a Doctor of Education in higher education administration in 1996 from Harvard Graduate School of Education. His career experience includes working as associate VP of academic affairs at Post University, associate provost at Excelsior College, and higher education consultant with Educational Solutions of New England. Maciel volunteered as vice president of education at BrattleMasters, local chapter of nonprofit educational organization Toastmasters, and as a member of the HOPE team at United Way.[1]
