Tim Miller (Ohio)
Tim Miller was a member of the Ohio State Board of Education, representing District 10. He assumed office on January 31, 2022. He left office on January 1, 2023.
Miller ran for re-election to the Ohio State Board of Education to represent District 10. He lost in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Gov. Mike DeWine (R) appointed Miller to the state board of education on January 8, 2021, to replace Sarah Fowler.[1] He represented District 7 from his 2021 appointment to January 2022.
On January 31, 2022, Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced new district boundaries for the Ohio State Board of Education as part of Ohio’s redistricting after the 2020 census. Biography
Tim Miller lives in Akron, Ohio. Miller earned a B.S. in business administration/finance from the University of Akron.[2] His career experience includes working as an insurance agent and owning Insurance Service Agency, Inc.[1][2]
Political career
Ohio State Board of Education (2021-2023)
Gov. Mike DeWine appointed Miller to the state board of education on January 8, 2021, to replace Sarah Fowler, who resigned to join the Ohio House of Representatives.[1]
Akron Public Schools Board of Education (2011-2019)
Miller is a former at-large member of the Akron Public Schools Board of Education, serving from 2011 to 2019.[1][3]

Opposition
Four of the seven seats on the Akron Public Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. Three of the seats up for election were for regular four-year terms. The fourth seat was on the ballot for a special two-year term.
Incumbents Tim Miller and Curtis Walker Sr. won re-election to the board. John Robert Otterman filled the other four-year term seat.[4]
Incumbent Patrick Bravo, along with candidates Summer Hall, Valerie McKitrick, Garth Starks and Ernie Tarle, were defeated in the election.[5][6]
Debbie Walsh defeated Pete Nischt for the seat with a two-year term. The unexpired term on the board was created following the resignation of member Dave Lombardi, who was appointed to a municipal judgeship. Jason Haas, a former member of the board, was appointed to fill the position until the election could be held. Haas stated at the time of his appointment that he did not intend to run in the special election for the remainder of the term.[7]
