Tim Ryan was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 44 of the Mississippi State Senate. He lost in the primary election to John Polk.

Ryan spent the bulk of his career with BellSouth TeleCommunications, eventually working his way to Regional Manager of Corporate and External Affairs. He left BellSouth to take a position as the Executive Director of the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation. He also owns Hattiesburg-based Ryan Wealth Management, LLC.

Ryan obtained a B.A. in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.[1]

Ryan ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 44. He lost to John Polk in the primary on August 2, 2011. No candidates ran in the Democratic primary election. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[2]
