Tim Savage is a Article III Federal Judge on senior status with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He joined the Court in 2002 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. Savage assumed senior status on March 1, 2021.[1]

Early life and education

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Savage graduated from Assumption College with his bachelor's degree in 1968 and received his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in 1971.[2]

Professional career

Savage was a private practice attorney in the State of Pennsylvania from 1971 to 2002 and also served as a hearing examiner for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board from 1976 to 2002.[2]

Judicial career

Eastern District of Pennsylvania

On the recommendation of U.S. Senators Rick Santorum and Arlen Specter Savage was nominated to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania by President George W. Bush on March 21, 2002, to a seat vacated by Edward Cahn as Cahn announced his outright retirement in 1998. Savage was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on August 1, 2002 on a Senate voice vote and received commission on August 2, 2002.[3][4]
