I am a nationally recognized maternal health advocate, speaker, and policy strategist who channels deeply personal experience into systemic change. After a life-threatening postpartumhemorrhage in 2010, a public miscarriage in 2011, and a PTSDdiagnosis, I confronted a profound lack of resources and support. This experience propelled me from a career as a professional makeup artist into a powerful force for health equity.

I began sharing my story publicly in 2012, connecting with thousands of women and families. My focus is on patient education, mental and physical health, and bridging the gap between lived experience and legislative action. I am a trusted liaison between patients, providers, and policymakers working to implement culturally congruent solutions.

My policy expertise is rooted in hands-on legislative work. Appointed to the Massachusetts Special Commission on Postpartum Depression, I co-authored key legislation, including the Act to Reduce Inequities in Maternal Health, which established the state's Racial Inequities in Maternal Health Commission.

I also served in leadership roles with the Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Improvement Network of Massachusetts, the state's Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant Advisory Committee, and Postpartum Support International.

I will advocate for fully funded public schools, fight for affordability, work to eliminate food insecurity, protect voting rights, and safeguard our environment.

  • I've lived through the maternal health crisis. I've felt the fear, the isolation, and the frustration of a system that failed me. Now, I'm fighting to ensure no other family in Georgia has to go through that alone. I bring your voice to the rooms where decisions are made. Whether you're a patient, a doctor, or a concerned parent, I will be your bridge to the Capitol and your champion for change. I am not a career politician. I am a survivor who turned my trauma into a mission and have a depth of understanding that no textbook could provide. I have a unique and proven ability to act as a liaison connecting patients, providers, and policymakers. I speak the language of all three groups and have the legislative experience to prove it.
  • The State House is YOUR House. It is my goal to help people understand that their elected officials should be accessible and responsive to their needs. I meet so many people, of all ages, who tell me that they don't know who their representatives are, or have no oportunities to engage with them. As a healthcare advocate, I often faced this same frustration and understand how demoralizing and exhausting it can be to reach out time and again, and not have your voice heard. I promise to be accessible, listen to you, and create an environment where we learn from each other and then work towards solutions together. Your voice will always be present in my policy creation as well as at every table where I am seated.
  • You are entitled to a life of dignity and your human rights must be protected. The social determinants of health, including but not limited to economic stability, education, healthcare access and neighborhood often dictate your health risks, life expectancy and quality of life. District 68 is diverse in age, socioeconomics and race. Resources and access to resources which affect health outcomes, food insecurity , affordablity and education are not distributed equitably throughout the district. As your legislator, I will work to ensure that my contituents are given the resources, education and opportunities to live a life where they are not just surviving day to day, but where they can truly thrive.
