Timothy Barton is a former chief magistrate judge of the Glynn County Magistrate Court in Georgia, serving in the role from 2002 to 2016. He was initially appointed to the bench in 2002 for a partial two-year term. He then won election to three consecutive full terms. Barton announced in 2015 that he would not seek a full term in the 2016 election cycle.[1][2]
