Timothy G. Burns is a former Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 89 from 2004 to 2016.
Biography
Burns earned his B.A. in economics, M.B.A. in accounting, and J.D. from Tulane University. His professional experience includes working as a tax attorney.

On October 22, 2011, Burns won re-election to District 61 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He defeated Pat Phillips (R) in the October 22 primary. Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering over 50 percent of the vote in the primary.[1]
