Timothy P. Connors is a judge for the 22nd Circuit Court in Washtenaw County, Michigan. He was appointed to this position by Governor Engler on March 12, 1997 to replace former Judge Karl V. Fink.[1] He was re-elected in 1998, 2000, 2006 and 2012. His current six-year term ends on January 1, 2019.[2][3][4]

Education

Connors received his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1977 and his J.D. degree from the Wayne State University Law School in 1980.[5]

Career

Connors began his career working for the law firm of Conlin, Conlin, McKenney & Philbrick. He then joined Logeman, Connors & Bredell, P.C., where he became Vice-President. In 1991, he was appointed to the 15th District Court. He served there until his appointment to the circuit court in 1997.[1]

He has taught as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School since 1993 and has been a University of Michigan Law School faculty and lecturer since 2008. He has also served as faculty for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and as a guest lecturer for Cooley Law School and Eastern Michigan University.[5]

2012 election

Connors defeated Michael Woodyard in the general election on November 6, winning 76.57% of the vote.[6][7]
