|In 2006 Rear Admiral Kevin F. Delancy presented Tim with the “Keeping America Strong” Award on The Heartbeat of America television series. The award was for excellence in the development of life-saving vascular access devices.
Tim was also awarded the Nevada 2016 Technologist of the Year for his work in innovative children’s medical products. This award was presented to him by Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, the Reno Gazette-Journal, and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.
Tim has something no other candidates have! There are 3 facts that truly impress all of our voters! The other candidates just vote on bills or talk about what their stance is on issues, but Tim acts!
First, Tim’s been rescuing our most vulnerable children for over 20 years!
Also, he has placed Financial Freedom classes into 37 Nevada high school curriculums and is adding more schools, including the ACE Vocational Academy in Reno!
Third, Tim has also established a READ NEVADA PAC to help elementary-age children start reading early!- MAKE NEVADA STRONG! Focus immediately on solid foundational curriculums in Reading, Writing and Mathematics until 75% proficiency is reached in all K- 4 schools. Leave no school behind!
- Adoption of the Parent Bill of Rights! Parents should have the freedom to choose the educational options best suited to the needs of their children. Parents and teachers, not politicians or school districts, know what their children need.
- Let’s encourage doctors and nurses to come to Nevada by making it easy to begin practicing medicine and by adopting sensible Medical No-Fault laws! Let's reform our restrictive licensing laws and allow practicing doctors and nurses in other states to come to Nevada and start working immediately without punishing them with outdated regulations!
HEALTH - 0ur state is 49th in the nation! We cannot protect our citizens unless we make a change!
We must increase the number of qualified doctors and nurses moving to Nevada! We are only one of a small handful of states that are not participating in the Multi-State Nursing Compact.
PROSPERITY - Nevada needs Skilled Labor and Small Business Growth! Only 60% of those who can work are working. Training and labor development are a must, and we cannot continue to pay people who will not work full-time. In addition, taxes are punishing the small businesses that are trying to regain footing after the Governor's misguided and brutal mismanagement during COVID-19. Small businesses will not prosper by paying a Commerce Tax that punishes companies that are self-contained in Nevada. Multi-state companies get to shift revenue out of the state and avoid this tax!
ELECTION INTEGRITY - Nevada cannot thrive as a state with a large number of our citizens not believing in the integrity of our elections! We have to correct this! Enact Voter ID!
TAXES - Tim became the first candidate for Nevada Senate District 16 to sign the “Taxpayer Protection Pledge”
He truly deserves, and has earned, the moniker "Ronaldous Magnus"!
Where was our legislature when he punished the hard-working people of Nevada by shutting down our businesses and labeling them as "Non-essential" during the pandemic! All workers are essential to the preservation of themselves and their families! Where were the legislative lawsuits to stop him? Perhaps they were so busy enjoying their networking cocktail parties and their lofty positions that they forgot about true Nevadans! Now, they let this Governor pick and reward his donors, his companies, without objection. I'm sick of do-nothing politicians.
For instance, Nevada's children can't read, can't write, can't spell, and dismally struggle in math. Nevada spends 4.5 billion a year in its attempts to educate our children but the outcome is horrific. Would you hire a 12th grader with a 5th-grade education? What a travesty for children and businesses! The SOLUTION is simple! Teach the basics, which is foundational learning, in the earliest grades. There is room for philosophy and theory in higher grades, not in elementary school.
