I am one of you, An American who wants the best for his Family Country and District.

I was brought up in a small town in Michigan. We were taught to be patriotic always respecting God, Family, Country and Neighbors. My family has always been part of the country's best. My grandmother and grandfather met at the end of WW2 he a Marine, she was Navy. My uncle served in Vietnam, my mother was a firefighter/EMT. I always knew I would serve, I joined the Sea Cadets in High school, from there in 1987 I joined the U.S. Navy. I married my HS love Maria, we had 3 sons and have 3 grandsons. We came to Washington with the Navy in 1995 and spent more time in WA than anywhere else. I have served in multiple theaters from the first gulf war to modern day Afghanistan to counter narcotic operations in South and Central America. I have spent time in more countries and cultures than I can remember. I tell people I feel privileged that my country let me see and do things only a few have experienced, I've also seen and done things no one should ever have to.

  • Keep the economy growing and creating security for those who have struggled for years creating hope for those who have been hopeless. Growing up in a lower income single parent household i decided i would not settle for less and i would try to bring as many as i can up the ladder of the American dream as i can.
  • End the endless wars and protect Americans at home first. Military and First responders not only deserve our greatest respect but they deserve to be respected by our government and given the tools and ability to do their work. Let the military fight to win not just to fight. Let the first responders enforce the law rather than allow lawlessness
  • Create an education system that works for America. Hands on classes in High School, Tech Schools, Alternatives outside of the public school disaster. History and experience are our best teachers but not if its changed to meet some WOKE politically correct version.
My core policy issues in no specific order revolve around the economy and growth, homelessness and mental health, military readiness, endless wars, first responders and veterans affairs, healthcare and drug costs, Education and skills training, immigration reform, term limits, states rights, and finally i am an originalist i believe in the constitution as written not as revised by the political elite.
My favorite politician is Ronald Reagan and his less government/people first approach. I also look up to my mother she raised us on her own and was willing to do whatever it took to make sure we were taken care of and respected others. Like Reagan and my mother i want put people first and always respect others even if we do not agree.
A Patriot's History of the United States. It seems that you can not find a modern history book today without a as the author put it A "Leftist Bias"
I believe you should have an unmistakable and patriotic belief in our constitution and our country. Take for instance in the 1970's about 70% of our elected officials came from a military background, today it's only about 21%. With that said we are more partisan than I can remember. What I and other patriots and military candidates bring to table is the ability to not see a partisan vision but to see a common goal and have the ability to work as a team regardless of ethnic group, color, creed or religion to reach it!
Be the voice and the representative of the people who elected you. Know the constitution you take an oath to defend and defend it always, not just when it fits you agenda!
One of accomplishment and service to the people who believed in me. I believe in the words of John Cougar "An honest man's pillow is his peace of mind"
Iran hostage crises 1979/80 i was 12 and patriotic and knew i would do whatever i could to protect our country.
I worked for the city parks and recreation during the summers and other odd jobs at other times. My first real job was the U.S. Navy.
Born Fighting by Jim Webb. Although i feel it is not a perfect rendition of why we have a representative government and a general mistrust of big government i do believe it gives us a look into the people who have major influence and why they felt the way they did.
It happens often. Today it is Niel Young's Cinnamon Girl.
One of my son's died when he was 17 as a result of drug addiction. For the longest time i blamed myself and on a daily bases i still contemplate what i could have done different to have prevented it.

It used to have the quality of being the peoples house. Legislators of the people by the people for the people. It seems to have morphed into a polarized political class who have isolated themselves from their origins. Lifetime politicians and congressmen who spend millions of dollars more than what the job pays to get elected are representing who? The people with $50.00 or the big companies and big donors?
I feel as if the closer you are to the people you represent the better you represent them. So no i do not believe you have to have political experience. I believe you have to have common sense, common decency and over all the desire to do the right thing for the people you represent based on their beliefs hopes and dreams.
Political correctness! If we can't even use the descriptions of the problems to address the issues of our time due to the language or subject than we will not be able to make the changes we need to make to come up with solutions
Due to my background i feel that i would be a good fit for Armed Services, Ethics, Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, Intelligence and Modernization of Congress.
I do believe 2 years is a good term. I also believe you should be limited to the amount of terms you can serve in the house.
I believe 4 -5 terms should be the limit. That would allow for the a continuation of experience as well as keep a constant turnover allowing new thoughts and ideas to meet the ever changing world we live in.
Possibly. I am not interested in spending the rest of my life in the house of representatives. I want to hear what my district has to say and what they want and be their voice in the house.
I like Trey Gowdy. He came in he represented his district and country. He was articulate and used common sense in all his deliberations. Then moved on and made room for another generation of legislators. Trey chose the term limit we the people want to see.
