Timothy McCarthy is a judge for the Tenth Judicial District in Kansas. He was appointed by Governor Sam Brownback on March 15, 2013, to replace retired judge John P. Bennett.[1][2] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[3]

McCarthy was retained to District 10 with 63.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Education
McCarthy earned his undergraduate degree from University of Kansas and his J.D. from Washburn University.[4]
Career
McCarthy was a partner at the firm of Gilliland & Hayes, PC from 2006 to 2013. Prior to that, he practiced with William & Cubbison from 1981 to 2006. He also served as judge pro tem for the 10th Judicial District Court and Edwardsville Municipal Court.[1][2]
