My name is Timothy John Mitts. I'm pro-business. I believe in protecting the United States Constitution. I do not believe in the pending constitutional change on November 5th. I'm a single father of three girls. They are all grown up now. I believe in. You need to say what you say and do what you say. I'm not in the race because I have to be. I'm in the race because I want to be.
  • Protecting us from government overreach. Government should not be getting into our everyday business. Live and let live is my belief. I will walk the walk and talk the talk. New York state government has gone too far including trying to intervene in the lives of our children that should be left at a parent. The government should not get in the middle of what goes on between the patient and its doctors.
  • Economic recovery because people who live in New York state pay the highest taxes in the United States. Important issue is the question of whether you are better off financially today than you were for years ago. The reality is when making decisions. I need to ensure that when you sit at the kitchen table with your family. You could provide for your family as needed.
  • Government overspending should have a balance budget every Year. We constantly hear politicians walking around and dropping money in a bucket like they can print it. We need to be financially responsible on the government level. New York state is supposed to have a balanced budget every year. The incumbents have failed to bounce the budget but continue enormous amount of deficit year after year.
I'm very passionate about ensuring that we provide our families with the needed assistance to raise their children in the best environment possible. I believe that we should be leaving our parents to raise their children, not government. I believe that government needs to stop intruding on other people's lives.
Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower. I would follow their leadership because I believe that they stood for strong America. I believe that they stood for equality and the right to live and let live. They stood for the equality that we as Americans are all Americans. The only thing difference between us as Americans is our political ideology. This doesn't make a good or bad. America is built on these principles and these are the principles I take away from these two gentlemen.
One of my favorite movies of all times is It's a wonderful Life. Some of my favorite presidents are Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower.
Accountability. We must be accounted accountable for all of our decisions. No Cloak and Dagger game. No dog and pony show. Put the cards on the table and let it fall where it falls. Politicians need to be held accountable. I believe that elected official should follow the will of its people, not the will of the Party leadership.
I have locally for the last 8 years work with my partner in order to build and rehab many buildings and sections in Monroe New York. I want to take my ability of knowing government and infrastructure rebuild to make a stronger New York.
Only legacy I want to leave is to let my fellow New Yorkers know that it's never too late to change. It is never too late to save our state. I want our fellow New Yorkers to know that by changing elected officials in this coming election will only benefit and bring fresh and new ideas. I want my constituents to know that you must talk to talk and walk the walk if you're going to represent the New York I grew up in.
26 years old when I had my first child. I have been a very fortunate man with very many memories. I would not change the bad or the good.
At 7 years old I used to go down to the Benjamin Moore store and the local butcher to do little bit of work here and there. I have been working since I've been 7 years old. At age 14 I started working in a deli.
Art of war. It teaches me about the ways and to handle confrontations. How to challenge my adversary.
Like everybody raising a family. Financial restrictions. Ups and downs and lives of being married and divorced. Raises a child poor but achieving a college education.
There should be a constant understanding and accountability. Running for office just to legislate should not be something that should be going on between the governor and state legislators unless there's an absolute public need. Too much of legislating for the party goes on in New York state. This is why as a conservative I'm not loyal to either party but I vote my conscience. I vote for my constituents.
Financial accountability and revoking legislations that I believe intrude on the family.
Absolutely not. As a business person, you learn to take risk and accountability. Just because you're in government or politics doesn't make you the best. Sometimes it's life experience that makes it greater important.
Absolutely, without building relationships to reaching across the aisle is extremely important. Understanding your adversary and where their points are helps you create better legislation.
There's really nobody. I want to model myself after. I am who I am. I will always sit to talk to my constituents. But it will always polarize myself with the partied to ensure I get the best results.
My job will be at state senator. I commit to 2 years. I will continue to commit to my seat as long as my constituents allow me. I do not chase dreams by jumping from position to position. I will go where my constituents want me to go.
The story of where families are strapped today to the financial reasons to take care of their parents. Or the parent that can't put food on table because the current economy conditions. These are the stories of real people. These are the stories that impact me day after day.
You know why I'm bald! Because I gave her the wrong answer too many times.
I do not believe state legislators should be granting emergency powers to the governor.
I'm running on my own two feet. I'm a grassroots operation.
Tax, families and landlord regulations
Government should be accountable to its people for its actions. I do not believe government should not be transparent and government should definitely be held accountable for its mistakes.
I would have to look at the particular situations. I have to weigh out the conditions as to what's going on. I would want to take in all good and bad ideas to figure out to make an educated decision.
