Timothy R. Bloomquist
Timothy R. Bloomquist was a senior judge for the Minnesota Tenth Judicial District, serving Kanabec County, Minnesota. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Gov. Arne Carlson on November 15, 1991 and was elected to full terms in 1994, 2000 and 2006. Bloomquist served as the Chief Judge from 2008 until his retirement on January 25, 2012.
Bloomquist assumed senior status on February 15, 2012 and his current term expired on June 30, 2013.[1]
Education
Bloomquist received his B.A. degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1969 and his J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1972.[1]
Career
Bloomquist began his legal career in 1972 as a private practice lawyer, a position he held until his judicial appointment in 1991. He also worked as a part-time Assistant District Public Defender from 1976 to 1991.[1]
