Timothy Thomason was a judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He assumed office in 2015. He left office in 2023.

Thomason ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.

Thomason was initially appointed by Gov. Jan Brewer (R) on July 18, 2014, effective June 2015, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Maria del Mar Verdin.[1]

Biography

Thomason received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University in 1981 and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1984. Prior to his judicial appointment, he had been a partner at the following firms:[1][2]

  • 2013-2014: Dickinson Wright
  • 2001-2013: Mariscal Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander
  • 1984-2001: Streich Lang

Thomason has also previously served as a judge pro tempore for the Maricopa County Superior Court and has worked as a private mediator and arbitrator.[1]
