Timothy Wolfe was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Illinois. Wolfe ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012, but was defeated in the general election.[1]

Biography

Wolfe was born in Bloomington, Illinois in 1953.[2] Wolfe earned his B.S. in business administration from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1975.[2] He received a second bachelor’s from Illinois State University in 1978 in accounting. In 2003 Wolfe received a master's in taxation from Northern Illinois University.[2]

Wolfe is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)[2]

Wolfe lost to incumbent Jan Schakowsky in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 9th District. Wolfe ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012. He was defeated by incumbent Jan Schakowsky in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]

Wolfe is married and lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois with his wife and one of his two daughters, who is attending college.[2] His other daughter has graduated from college. Wolfe and his family have lived in Arlington Heights for approximately 30 years.[2]
