I have lived on a small farm in Toutle my entire life, and I am well acquainted with the problems and needs of rural Washington.

I have worked in the hayfields and on the farms of southwest Washington to help pay college expenses and I know the difficulty young people have finding jobs in the local area.

Upon receiving my bachelors degree in IT administrative management in the summer of 2020, I hope to give back to the community by representing Southwest Washington in the state legislature.

In my spare time, I study world history, in the belief that we can learn from the past and apply the lessons of our ancestors to solve today's problems. I hold frequent discussions to share my ideas with friends and family, as well as with my classmates in political science and business administration.

By using a lifetime of local knowledge, an understanding of the past, and the acquired ability to manage for the future, I believe that I can make the 20th district a destination in itself rather than a way-station on the I-5 corridor.
  • I will work tirelessly to create long term sustainable economic growth for our communities, building new parks, and supporting small businesses. I will also work to ensure that farmers can keep their land and grow their businesses.
  • Education is crucial to the success of future generations and I will strive to make our educational system the envy of the nation. I will work to end our reliance on the levy system which often leaves schools underfunded.
  • The COVID-19 emergency has shown that we need to improve our healthcare system. I will work to ensure that all Washingtonians have access to affordable healthcare. As representative I will push for a single payer healthcare system, reducing costs for all working- and middle-class citizens, as well as small businesses.
I am passionate about any areas of public policy that have the potential to improve our communities and benefit citizens. I am particularly passionate about policies that can help often neglected rural areas. I firmly believe that nobody deserves to be overlooked and ignored because of where they live. I want heal the divide between rural and urban communities and ensure that everyone has adequate access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities regardless of location. I am also passionate about our beautiful corner of the state. As representative I will work preserve this beautiful environment for future generations.
Bernie Sanders, for his honesty, perseverance, and willingness to stand up for a cause he believes in even if all others are against him. I would like to follow the example of Theodore Roosevelt as he had the courage to stand up to corporations, corrupt politicians, and anyone else who he felt was doing harm.
The three most important characteristics in an elected official are honesty, flexibility and a logical though process.
I would like my legacy to be a healthy and happy state, where rural and urban communities work together.
The first historical event that I can remember is the space shuttle Columbia disaster. I was 8 years old at the time.
My first job was working for local farmers hauling hay when I was 15. It was demanding work, often more than 12 hours a day during the hottest days of summer, but rewarding. There is no feeling like seeing a barn filled with hay by your efforts. I continued to work hauling hay until my college classes required too much of my time and concentration.
It is impossible to choose a favorite but one of the most interesting books I have ever read is Julius Caesar's "The Conquest of Gaul". It is a fascinating insight into the mind of a man who changed the course of western history.
Spok, a brilliant and logical mind, cool in any situation.
Tico Tico no fuba, it is very lively song that becomes an earworm extremely easily.
I believe that an effective state legislature must have both experienced and outsider members. The new, outside representatives bring enthusiasm and new ideas, while the experienced members grant a moderating influence and ensure undue risks are not incurred.
A computer that has been been programmed by experts from Washingtons universities. This programming must then be approved by the state supreme court.
