Tina Descovich

Descovich ran for re-election to the Brevard Public Schools school board to represent District 3 in Florida. Descovich lost in the primary on August 18, 2020.
Biography
Descovich's professional experience includes working in business. She served on the executive staff for the United States Army Commanding General at Fort Lee. She also volunteered over two thousand hours with Brevard Public Schools. Descovich earned her bachelor's degree in communication.[1]

Two of the five seats on the Brevard Public Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. Four candidates filed to run for the District 3 seat in the by-district primary election on August 30, 2016: newcomers Darcey Addo, Richard Charbonneau, Tina Descovich, and Larry Finch. Addo and Descovich advanced to the general election because no candidates received more than 50 percent of the primary vote, and Descovich won the seat. For the District 4 seat, incumbent Karen Henderson was joined in the primary election by three challengers: Dana DeSantis, Dean Paterakis, and Matt Susin. Henderson and Susin advanced from the primary election to the general election, and Susin successfully ousted the incumbent.[2][3]
