Surfside shaped who I am. I grew up on this beach, in this neighborhood, surrounded by the quiet charm that makes our community so special. I learned early on that what we have here is precious and worth protecting.
After building a career as a professional photographer in New York City, I came home to care for my parents in their final years. During that time, as I watched change begin to reshape our small Town, I felt a deep responsibility to step forward to protect our tranquility and our sense of belonging.
I was first elected in 2016, and served three terms until 2022, and was re-elected in 2024. I have served as Commissioner and Vice Mayor to safeguard our beaches, preserve our architectural heritage, and advocate for Surfside at every level. I believe in thoughtful growth, strong environmental protections, and policies that address residents’ needs.
Surfside deserves calm, experienced leadership that brings people together. As Mayor, I will listen with care, lead with integrity, and stand firm for our Town’s future.- I bring proven leadership through my terms as a Commissioner and Vice Mayor with deep knowledge of Surfside’s operations. My priorities are fiscal responsibility, smart growth, community safety, and environmental resilience to preserve our Town’s character and quality of life.
- With elections every two years, continuity in leadership is essential to maintaining stability, advancing long-term projects, and retaining the experienced staff who serve our Town. We now have an effective administrative team in place, and consistent leadership will allow us to continue moving forward responsibly and efficiently.
- I am here in the present to represent community goals, wishes and dreams with steady, thoughtful action. Leadership requires temperament and perseverance when progress takes time and requires majority agreement. I am a photographer and a historian who believes in accuracy and getting things right. I have always worked to help every community member and I always will. Together we make Surfside special. You deserve genuine leadership that restores decency and respect for our Town and I will deliver that!
