Tina Pope was a member of the Escondido Union High School District school board in California, representing Trustee Area 1. Pope assumed office in 2004. Pope left office on December 9, 2022.

Pope won re-election to the Escondido Union High School District school board to represent Trustee Area 1 in California outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.

The general election was canceled. Tina Pope (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

2014

Four seats on the Escondido Union High School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Two incumbents, Tina Pope from Trustee Area 1 and Christi Knight from Trustee Area 3, ran unopposed and won re-election by default. No incumbent filed to run in the Trustee Area 2 election, leaving the race to candidates Lou Barrios and Bill Durney. Durney defeated Barrios and won election to the seat. In Trustee Area 5, incumbent Jon Petersen ran against challenger Georgine Tomasi and won re-election.

Results

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Trustee Area 1 incumbent Tina Pope won re-election by default.[1][2]

Endorsements

Pope was endorsed by the Republican Party of San Diego County.[3]

2010

Elections for Trustee Areas 1, 2 and 5 were canceled due to lack of opposition. Incumbents Tina Pope, Jon Petersen and Randy Garcia were re-elected by default.[4]
