Practical, not political. I am running for Commission because there are two great highlights already in our District: common sense decisions and partnerships with everyone to get things done. The heart of a public servant, the experience in local government, and the love for my community.

This is what makes me uniquely qualified to serve as County Commissioner for District 4.

I will focus on transparency in government, community conversations and apply practical decision making, based on the will of the people.

Community. Identity. Purpose.
  • Community. We are all in this together, we must stand together and do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reasons.
  • Identity. Everyone has a role and responsibility in our community. Uncover your strengths and be THAT person. How can each of us deliver our passions and make our whole community more prosperous.
  • Purpose. Use your strength in your community. Place both feet on the ground, stand strong and work together. Make smart decisions and be practical.
The areas of public policy I am most passionate about are public safety, economic vitality and education. These three areas are very closely linked and interdependent.
Transparency, collaboration, tenacity and compassion.
The heart of a public servant, the experience in local government & problem solving, and the love for my community.
The first major historical event I can recall is on March 30, 1981, Ronald Reagan was shot and wounded by John Hinckley Jr. in Washington, D.C. I was 10 years old.
The Canterbury Tales - Chaucer. This depicts the telling of one event, by different people, at different stations / points in their life. All described so uniquely yet it was one shared event.
This office can teach constituents how to work with government better. There is this legacy stereotype that doing business with the government is arduous and overly complex. We can make practical , business-like decisions to provide cleaner processes and impacts decisions, so that doing business with government becomes easier and more transparent.
It is beneficial to have experience. To understand the working of the organization that will help the Office fulfills promises is paramount. Otherwise, you have empty campaign promises.
Understanding the community. Truly listening. Understanding how the County works, how it relates to other agencies / entities, and most importantly, what the legal mandates are and how the County can fulfill them with the highest degree of competence.
