A Tiskilwa Village Flood Tax Levy proposal was approved on the April 9, 2013 election ballot in Bureau County, which is in Illinois.
This question authorized the Village of Tiskilwa to impose a property tax levy of 0.1666 mills ($0.1666 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to repair and build levees in the village for flood control and safety.[1]

“ | Shall Division 112 of the Illinois Municipal Code permitting municipalities to levy a flood control tax on all taxable property to build, raise, strengthen, or repair the levees around the municipality at a rate not to exceed .1666 annually, and for a period not to exceed 7 years, be adopted by the village of Tiskilwa?[1][2] | ” |
