Toby Barker
Toby Barker (b. December 31, 1981) is a former Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 102 from 2008 to 2017. He resigned from the state House in June 2017 after he was elected as Hattiesburg's 35th mayor.[1]
Biography
Barker earned his B.A. and M.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi. His professional experience includes working as Director of the Southern Mississippi Business Assistance Center.[2]

2015
Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[3] Taylor Brinkley was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Toby Barker was unopposed in the Republican primary. Barker defeated Brinkley in the general election.
2011
On November 8, 2011, Barker won re-election to District 102 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He defeated Ric McCluskey in the primary on August 2, 2011. Barker defeated Democratic candidate David Cook in the November 8 general election.[4][5]

On November 6, 2007, Barker was elected in District 102, defeating Democratic challenger Jolly Matthews III in the general election.[6]
