I am a Clermont native who has been married for over 20 years and have a teen who attends local public schools. I attended college in Marietta Ga and earned a BS in Nutrition and a Doctor of Chiropractic. I have owned multiple businesses and retired my Chiropractic license several years ago. Currently, my wife and I own a business in the boating/marine sector with locations across Central Florida.

I have experience as a Lake County School Board Member where I was responsible for a $630 million budget, 43,000 students and almost 6000 staff. That required overseeing over 1 million square feet of facilities, public transportation, food service, medical services, public safety.

I was elected to Clermont City Council during a Special Election in May of 2024. Each year I have voted to reduce taxes and worked to eliminate excessive government burdens. Collaboration with fellow council members has enabled me to lead the way for refocusing the city's priorities.
  • Infrastructure is a priority. The uncontrolled growth was just too much. I have been very vocal in improving roads, sidewalks and public safety. We have made tremendous headway in the city and are ensuring the county is meeting their responsibilities to the citizens.
  • Eliminate government red tape. I am a small business owner and recognize the difficulties we face. I was able to get the Business Tax Receipt eliminated. I also was able to get changes to the codes making it easier for businesses to operate especially in the downtown area.
  • Protect our water resources. We rely on clean, accessible water. I have fought for better management of those resources especially in the areas of new development. I support ensuring access to our lakes for water sports and boating. Along with creating a safer environment to enjoy those activities.
At this time, I believe fostering economic growth of the commercial sector are the most important public policy decisions. This reduces the tax burden on residents, decreases the need to clog streets to go to out of town stores and provides local jobs.
Honesty and accessibility are the two most important characteristics for elected officials. While we may not always agree, I am always happy to meet with residents and give them my honest answer.
City Council requires someone that is knowledgeable in budget, public safety, business and has common sense.
I would like to see Downtown become a vibrant destination for generations to come.
