I have experience as a Lake County School Board Member where I was responsible for a $630 million budget, 43,000 students and almost 6000 staff. That required overseeing over 1 million square feet of facilities, public transportation, food service, medical services, public safety.
I was elected to Clermont City Council during a Special Election in May of 2024. Each year I have voted to reduce taxes and worked to eliminate excessive government burdens. Collaboration with fellow council members has enabled me to lead the way for refocusing the city's priorities.- Infrastructure is a priority. The uncontrolled growth was just too much. I have been very vocal in improving roads, sidewalks and public safety. We have made tremendous headway in the city and are ensuring the county is meeting their responsibilities to the citizens.
- Eliminate government red tape. I am a small business owner and recognize the difficulties we face. I was able to get the Business Tax Receipt eliminated. I also was able to get changes to the codes making it easier for businesses to operate especially in the downtown area.
- Protect our water resources. We rely on clean, accessible water. I have fought for better management of those resources especially in the areas of new development. I support ensuring access to our lakes for water sports and boating. Along with creating a safer environment to enjoy those activities.
