Elections
2014
After defeating Greg A. Granger by about 300 votes in the Republican primary, Corne decided to withdraw from the race before the general election. He cited the possibility of moving to Spencer County where his wife, Kelly Corne, serves as prosecutor as the reason for his withdrawal.[2] Warrick County Republican Chairman Mike Griffen appointed Greg A. Granger to run in Corne's place against Democrat Sherry D. Smith in the general election.[1][3][4]
